Thanks for visiting our website, we hope you enjoy exploring the site and finding out more about our organisation.
Our mission is to promote respect and understanding between people living in our communities whatever their background, culture or belief.
Our three main areas of work would be summed up under the headings of engagement, education and empowerment.
We welcome new members and people who would be interested in volunteering with our activities.
Volunteers are particularly welcome when we teach English because sometimes we need people to work one to one with a student or to help with a small group or even to make teas and coffees for the group. Volunteers feel that they have gained a lot by helping the ladies in the groups some of whom have come to England from, for example, Poland, Morocco, Columbia, Thailand, Spain and Pakistan.
We hold English classes in Trowbridge for women on Monday and Wednesday mornings and in Melksham for women on Wednesday mornings. A men's class is held on a Monday 1:30 and a beginners computer group for women on Thursday mornings - both in Trowbridge.
Faith and Cultural awareness training is organised regularly with the police. We are willing to go into local schools to talk about different faith.
